Biography

Mark protects Ohio and Indiana individuals, businesses and insurance companies against claims alleged in state or federal lawsuits involving construction work, consumer protection statutes, fire loss, personal injury, insurance coverage, and professional errors and omissions. His proactive defense strategy aims to avoid costly litigation when possible, resolve cases through negotiated settlement when warranted, and take the case through jury verdict when required. Often Mark’s clients do not start lawsuits, but with Mark by their side, his clients defend to the end.

Mark serves his community. He is a past Chair of Generation Dayton, the region’s young professionals organization focused on retaining, and attracting young professionals; community service; professional development and having a positive impact on the Dayton region. Mark also served on the Dayton History Bell Board, responsible for organizing the annual “Ringing in the Holidays” and “Heritage Festival” events at Carillon Park nestled on the banks of the Great Miami River in Dayton. As President of the University of Dayton’s Dayton-Area Alumni Chapter, the Chapter facilitated community service or fundraising initiatives with Habitat for Humanity and Daybreak (a local non-profit providing shelter, outreach and employment opportunities to homeless youths).

Mark helps tomorrow’s adults. He mentored high-school students in the Goodwill/ Easter Seals Miami Valley Mentor/ Mentee Program. He has also judged the Dayton portion of the Ohio high school Mock Trial Competition.

Mark enjoys following his three children around the state for their band, cheer, and sports activities; cheering on his favorite football, soccer and basketball teams; and spending time with friends.
